Shirley Louise (Austin) Hagen

She was born in Webster, NY on March 24, 1927 to the late Rose Louise (Binggeli) and Leon Austin.

Shirley raised a family of four children with her first husband, the late Larry Burkhart.

When she was able, she loved traveling, knitting, and crossword puzzles.

In fact, her first trip out of the country was in 1978 to Japan to visit her oldest son.

The adventure continued, when at the age of 92, Shirley reunited with and married her first love, Jim Hagen. Jim and the kids miss her dearly…

She was preceded in death by Larry Burkhart, her first husband of 58 years and father to her four children; and, her beloved daughter, Kristin Catapano.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, James “Jim” Hagen; her children, Grey Burkhart (Susan Burkhart), Drew Burkhart (Janice Burkhart), and Bridget Gulebian (Bryan Gulebian); grandchildren, Katrina Fisher, Natalie Aimes, Tess Droujinsky, Corinne Novak, Jordan Catapano, Ashley Kelly, Samantha Burkhart, Katie Cossette, Erin Austin; and, 16 precious great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka, Florida.

A private family service will be held in Webster, New York where she was born and raised.
