He was the only child of the late Paul and Vanessa Rohland. Thomas was raised in Logan/Dehue, West Virginia where he met his late wife, Dorothy Jean Lowe. They 47 year marriage was blessed with 8 children.
Thomas’ career began at the age of 17 when he enlisted in the United States Army and spent 23 years honorably serving his country.
His second career spanned 22 years working in the Casting Department of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
He loved sports and always enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and Orlando Magic.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Vanessa Rohland; wife, Dorothy Jean Lowe, and daughter, Bonnie Whitman.
He is survived by four daughters, Vanessa Rivera (Manuel), Cathy Donley (Charles), Dottie Pletcher (Robert), Heather Easterling (Kevin), and three sons, Thomas, Jr. (Tami), Paul (Dina), and Joseph, (Audra).
He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 -12 pm on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 601 N. Park Avenue, Apopka, FL 32712.
Graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Florida National Cemetery at 6502 S.W. 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
