

Evelyn Melissa(Weed)Allard died on September 11, 2013 in Eureka California. She was born on a ranch in Molson, Washington on June 29, 1919. Evelyn grew up in Molson and graduated from Molson High School. Later she and most of the immediate family moved into the bigger town of Oroville, Washington.
She met and married Jack Allard shortly after WWII and son Frank Sherman Allard was born in 1945. Allards and Weeds had many family members who lived in Oroville until after the war.
In 1952, Jack, Evelyn, Frank, and brother Marvin Weed moved to McKinleyville because there were jobs in lumber and logging and a chance for a better life. Uncle Marvin and sons Rodney and Harvey and the Allards stayed together as we settled into a new state and jobs. In 1961 son Jay Kris Allard was born.
Evelyn was a house wife and mother who supported her kids and family in music, scouts, and baseball. Evelyn was preceded in death by husband Jack, brothers Marvin Weed, Marcellis Weed, Clyde Kidwell, and sisters Mary Weed(Flock), and Vada Kidwell(Morse), and her mother and father Cynthia Weed(Kidwell)(Smith), and Harvey Weed, and all of their spouses.
She leaves behind sons Frank Allard(Jeanie) and Jay Allard(Cindy) and grandchildren Eric Allard(Carrie), Amy Gregorio(Rui), Dana Allard(Sara), Jasmine Allard, and Christopher Allard, and great grandchildren Mason Allard, Conor Allard, Caden Allard, Ian Allard, Gabe Allard, Nicole Gregorio, and Lauren Gregorio.
Services will be at Paul’s Chapel at 1:00 PM with a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery immediately after.
