Jeffrey come to pass on Frieday the 17th after having his 53rd birthday. He was born September 10, 1957 to Virginia and Paul McConnell Sr. He lived with his parents and siblings, 3 brothers, and a sister in Napa until his parents divorced when he was 7 years old. His mother raised him and his siblings in Napa until Jeff was 15, then they moved to Hoopa he loved Hoopa Valley and the people in it. He lived in Hoopa for 40 years off and on. He loved raising cows and pigs to support his family. He was on the Hoopa Volunteer Fire Dept for 18 years, and a truck driver for 12 years. He loved helping people and loved his kids more than life itself. Jeff "JW" as he liked to be called, was proceeded in death by his mother Virginia Mae "Holcomb" McConnell, sister-in-law Donna Moden. He is survived by his father Paul Balthus McConnell Sr. his wife of 13 years Leanne Bateman, brothers Walt Moden, Douglas McConnell, Paul B. McConnell and wife Renee, Tracy McConnell , Alvin Jackson, sister Cindy Ibarra her husband Moses and Shelly Stergis. Children Jeffrey "Jay" McConnell Jr. and wife Pamela, Daren McConnell, Shawna "Fred" Miller and husband Justin, Raymond Bateman McConnell and Miranda McConnell. Grandchildren Megan and Jaydon McConnell, Calvin and Nathaniel McConnell, Keynan and Hazel Miller and Chloe Tolsen. Other close loved ones all his neices, nephews, aunts, uncles and in-laws, ex wife Candy McConnell and her children Stacie "Cotton" Tolsen, Brandon Cotton and Butch and Syble Aspinwall. Best friends Gary Willison, Merry Pack, Violet Krug, Darrell Ridenour, Duffy Mott, Danny Mott (deseaced) and countless other for he knew every body and was well loved. There will be a memorial potluck to celebrate his life at the Hoopa Legion Hall on Saturday the 25th, will begin at 2:00 p.m. All who cared for him are welcome to come.
