Mrs. Bessie H. Stafford

Bessie was born in High Point on August 17, 1940, to Houston and Laura Mae Hopkins.

She was dedicated to the Lord and supportive of her children's service to Him. Bessie will always be remembered as a sweet, loving, smiling and kind person who always put others before herself. She was always supportive of her kids, loved her grandbabies and was the rock of her family.

Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Stafford, and her parents.

She is survived by son, Kelly Stafford and wife Noemi; daughter Wendy Watkins and husband Mike; son Kevin Stafford and wife Lisa; grandchildren Mandy Southern, Shane Stafford, Michaela Watkins, Lee Stafford, K.J. Stafford and Abby Stafford; great-grandchildren Riley Southern, Reed Southern, Alena Stafford, Raegan Southern, Asher Teaster and Aubri Stafford; sisters Myrtle Hinson and Glenda Williamson; and special sister-in-law Donna Stafford.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale officiated by Pastor Kelly Stafford. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
