She was born on March 20, 1926 in Yadkin County to Charlie and Minnie Macmore McBride.
Preceding her in death are Betty’s mother and father; husband, Charles Phillips and sister Mary Hayworth.
Survivors include Betty’s daughter, Deborah Johnson; sons, Jerry Phillips, Charles Phillips and James Phillips; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers William McBride and James McBride.
The family will have a private graveside service.
