A man shaped by steady work and quiet strength, Bill built his life on dependability, loyalty, and care for others. He carried himself with a thoughtful wisdom that made people feel at ease, and his kind-hearted nature was often paired with a gentle, well-timed humor. To those who knew him best, Bill was deeply loved and genuinely cherished—someone whose presence could be counted on, and whose generosity was given without fanfare.
Bill spent his working years as an Owner Operator Truckdriver until his retirement, earning respect through diligence and perseverance. Retirement did not slow him down; instead, it opened the door to another way of serving others. Bill started a small engine repair shop, fixing motors from lawn mowers to weed eaters and beyond—work that reflected both his hard-working spirit and his selfless willingness to help neighbors and friends keep things running.
Family was central to Bill’s life. He helped raise two beautiful daughters, Renee' and Debbie, and he held a cherished relationship with his son-in-law Danny—one marked by mutual respect, loyalty, and care.
In his personal time, Bill found real joy in restoring vintage cars and trucks, spending many hours in the garage. He enjoyed going to car shows and visiting junkyards, drawn to the stories held in old metal and the satisfaction of bringing something back to life with patience and skill.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hazel Burge; his wife, Beverly Burge; his sister, Bronna Miller; and his three brothers, Harry Burge, Larry Burge and Wallace Burge.
Survivors to cherish Bill’s memories are his two daughters, Debbie Burge Cecil and her husband Danny, Renee' Burge Blake, nephews, nieces, friends, and neighbors.
