Brandon Kerr Lane, 58, of Archdale, North Carolina, was born July 26, 1967, in Greenville, North Carolina, and passed away peacefully in his home, with his loving wife by his side March 29, 2026. Brandon was a kind-hearted, selfless, compassionate, caring, and thoughtful man whose steady presence and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born one of two sons to Harry and Brenda Cooper Lane, Brandon grew up with a deep appreciation for family and the values that shaped his life.
He graduated from UNC Charlotte in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Brandon worked many years in sales and was last employed with CPM Wolverine Proctor in Lexington, North Carolina. Through his work and daily life, Brandon was known for his sincere character and the way he treated others with respect and kindness.
On August 17, 2007, Brandon married the love of his life, Traci Lane. Together, Brandon and Traci built a life centered on devotion, laughter, and love, and they were blessed with four young men: Jared, Grayson, Evan, and Bailey.
Brandon loved fishing, the beach and the mountains, golfing, and watching NC State win and all sports. Above all else, Brandon’s greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Brandon had a generous heart and was always giving of himself to others. He never met a stranger, and his welcoming nature made people feel seen and valued from the very first conversation.
Brandon had a smile that lit up the room and a sense of humor that brought comfort and joy. He always brought out the best in others, because he truly saw the good in everyone. He will be remembered for his genuinely sweet spirit and loving ways.
In his final months battling cancer, Brandon surprised all of those around him with his positive, upbeat attitude. He was a faithful man of God. He daily quoted, “God’s Got This!” and lived by that motto every day.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Mozelle Lane and David and Ruby Cooper.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Traci Lane; four sons, Jared (Candace), Grayson (Ashley), Evan, and Bailey; his parents, Harry and Brenda Lane; his brother, Dr. Justin Lane (Valentina); five grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A Memorial Service for Brandon will be held Friday April 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Marlboro Friends Church at 2668 Marlboro Church Rd., Sophia, NC, officiated by Pastor Ray Luther. The family will be receiving friends an hour prior to service.
