

Born on February 16, 1938 to J.P. and Irene Shackelford. She started teaching 5th grade in 1963, including Tabernacle, Sumner and Florence. She later received a degree in the Arts to teach elementary school art at Walberg and Silver Valley. She loved teaching, loved to paint, draw, sew; she loved pottery, making porcelain dolls and ceramics along with anything creative. She opened Robbins' Nest Ceramic store and taught ceramics, brush strokes and painting techniques.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred “Eugene” Robbins and her brother Jim Shackelford.
Survivors include her daughter Rhonda Auman and her husband Melvin of High Point; sister-in-law, Joyce Robbins of Archdale; brothers, Steven D. Shackelford of Lewisburg, GA and Jerry Smith and his wife Ann of Durham; two grandchildren Kristen White and her husband Tim of Archdale and Tracy Auman of High Point.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00pm at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale. Burial will follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery in High Point. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
