Clarence Edward "Eddie" York Jr., age 77, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 following several months of declining health.
Eddie was born in Randolph County, September 1, 1946, a son of the late Clarence Edward York and Martha Alma Crisco York. In his early years, he helped his dad in his television repair business, Ed's TV Repair. Eddie then began a long career in the furniture industry. He enjoyed researching his family's genealogy as well as his family's Native American heritage. Eddie was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church where he served on the cemetery committee for many years. He was a caring and giving individual that was always helping with family and friends in any time of need. Eddie touched so many lives with faith and positivity.
Surviving are his son, Jason York and his wife Yvonne; his sister, Kaye Cox; his granddaughter and the apple of his eye, Jordan York.
A Celebration of Eddie's life will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church by Pastor Mark Beane and Pastor Ed Carter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Pleasant Ridge Christian Church.
