Doreen Horlick

Doreen Matthews Green Horlick passed on October 17, 2026, at the age of 99 and a half.

Doreen was born April 3rd, 1927 in Flixton, England to the late Sarah and Peter Matthews.

Doreen worked as a bookkeeper/accountant at High Point Products and Alderman Studios. A member of Fairfield Community Church, she served on the Church Administration Board and was founder and Senior Coordinator of the Golden Adventurers along with her husband Bill. Doreen also organized and presented numerous English Tea fundraising events for her church and community.

Doreen was preceded in death by her husbands, James Guy Green and William David Sinclair Horlick; her sons, Darryl James Green, Jeffrey Matthews Green, and Beverly Sinclair David Horlick; and her siblings, Joan Matthews, Alice Matthews Wheatley, and William Matthews.

Doreen is survived by her daughters Sandra (Francel) Goude, Marsha (Joe) Humphreys, and Kimberly (Derek) Kanoy; her granddaughters Tricia (David) Boles, Monica (Dean) Wegren, Jennifer Bowers, Cortney (Dustin) Van Weerdhuizen, and Kelly (Alan) Whitehart; grandson William Petty; nieces Doreen Beck and Candice (Donald) Teeter; together with numerous great-grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren; and her long-time friends Emma and Monty Aycoth.

A celebration of Doreen's life will be held at Fairfield Community Church at a time to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fairfield Community Church, VFW (local chapter), and Tunnel to Towers.
