Gladys Marie Davis

Mrs. Gladys Baugus Davis, 79, of High Point went home to be with the Lord March 13, 2015.

Gladys was born in Craven County, North Carolina, June 23, 1935. Most of Gladys’ life was spent in the High Point area where she worked as a CNA Nurse, retiring in 2000.

Gladys was a wonderful care-giver to all as a CNA Nurse. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were the largest loves in her life! Gardening and cooking was how Gladys would spend her spare time with her best friend and companion Scooby by her side.

Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Ned Davis in April 1983 and two brothers, Richard Baugus and Joe Baugus.

She is survived by one son Bobby Burchette of Archdale; daughters, Pat Abernethy and husband Peter of High Point; Jennie Roland and husband Jeff of Archdale; Sherry Williams and husband Scott of Archdale. Granddaughters: Amber Coone and husband Christopher, Courtney Roland, and Hayley Williams. Grandsons: Joshua Burchette, Jeffrey Roland and wife Ariel, Jordan Williams, Jagur Williams, and Davis Abernethy. Great-grandchildren: Gabrielle Burchette, Hudson Coone, and Londyn Roland.

A visitation for Mrs. Davis will be held on Sunday, March, 15, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel at Sechrest. Entombment to follow at Floral Garden Cemetery.
