

Guy was born on January 15, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to Gaetano and Suzanna Mackerty Marino. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired in 1989 from Deluxe Check Printers, Inc. where he was a production manager. Guy was a member, and former council chair, of Christ the King Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member, and former president, of The Greensboro Tar Heel Chorus, and a member of the Roy B. Culler Jr. Senior Center where he sang with the Happy Tones and Senior Class. His most recent passion was singing with the Golden Memories Gospel Group. In 2004, he received the High Point Senior Volunteer of the Year Award. Guy was also a beloved volunteer for Hospice of the Piedmont. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donnie Davidson of Cleveland, Ohio and his sister,Rosina Marino of Chieti, Italy.
Surviving are his wife Anita Fann Marino of the home and four daughters: Michelle Marino Marshall, husband Scott and children Maggie, Drew, and Alex of Acworth, GA; Melissa Egolf Longuillo and children Rose and Jacob of Trinity; Marybeth Grooms of High Point and children Graham, Miles, and Ethan; and Kerri Kearns of Trinity and daughter Peyton. Guy has one son; Marcus Kearns, and wife Melody, of Morganton and children Benjamin, Alisha, and Ezekiel. Guy also has one brother Giulio Marino of Pescara, Italy, and one sister, Delores Morelli of Euclid, Ohio.
On Saturday, May 12th, at 11:00 a.m, the family will receive friends at Christ the King Catholic Church on E. Kivett Dr. in High Point. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon followed by an inurnment of the cremains in the church columbarium. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
