Known as John Boy, “28”, and Good time Johnny, He was a dedicated employee of central warehouse for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, John P. Hathcock. Survivors include his daughter, Amy Hathcock of Wilmington; sons, Travis Hathcock of Greensboro and Justin Hathcock and his wife Beth of McLeansville; mother, Sally Cooper; sisters, Janet Whitley and Kay Rogers both of Aquadale; granddaughter, Rileigh and his girlfriend Martha Carter.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday at 7:30pm at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-7:30pm at the funeral home.
Burial and military services will be held on Thursday at 1:00pm at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro.
