Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Darlene A. Bristow; son, Joseph Samuel Bristow of the home; mother, Iris White Bristow; brother, James “Chip” Coltrane Bristow Jr. and his wife Rita, of Franklinton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church at 2:00pm burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 6:30-8:30 at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale and at other times at the home of his mother.
