An accomplished musician he served in the Navy and Civil Service as an Electronic and Avionics Technician for 19 years. He was good with computers and retired from GKN Automotive.
His survivors include daughter, Darlene King; sons, Corey Lowder and Dean Lowder; brothers, Truman Lowder, Herman “Herby” Lowder, Randy Lowder and Johnny Lowder; sisters, Sherian “Sylvia” Blakely, Nora “Polly” Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
