

Ken Moorefield had 59 wonderful years on this earth and on Monday, August 27, 2012 he exchanged his earthly existence for eternal glory. He was born on August 16, 1953 to the late Emmett and Sophia Moorefield of Abington, VA. He was the owner and operator of Big John's Body Shop of Archdale. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Thomasville. He loved his Lord and told everyone he could about his loving Savior. He is rejoicing now on Heaven's Shores!!!!
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 36 years, Kay Moorefield, and two adoring children, his son and his wife, Kevin and Hope, his daughter, a daddy's girl always and forever, and her husband, Misty and Kevin Floyd. He was the Pappaw of five wonderful grandchildren, Nicholas, Amber, Lillian, AJ and Nate, that were the light of his life. They adored their Pappaw very much. He leaves six sisters, Roxie Williams, Lee Widener, Helen Owens, Ruby Owens, Ella mae Owens and Gladys Phillips and two brothers, Emmett Moorefield Jr, Burley Moorefield and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves a multitude of friends that were touched by him and his sweet spirit. To know him was to love him!
The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale from 6 to 8 on Wednesday August 29 and the funeral service will be at the Sechrest chapel Thursday, August 30, at 10am, burial will follow at Floral Garden.
