Mamie Vera Wilson Bodenheimer, age 86, died November 8, 2014, following a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Randolph County and a member of the Thomasville Church of God, where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Moose Lodge.
Mamie is survived by her husband, Verlin Sanford Bodenheimer, and three daughters, Evelyn and husband Tony, Brenda Moore, Linda Crawford and husband Charles; three sons, James Wilson and wife Ann, Robert Wilson and wife Susan and Kenneth Bodenheimer and wife Rita.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wilson; and two daughters, Karen Sue Spillman and Shirley Smith. Her parents, John Lee Hogan and Pearl Lee Dobson, also preceded her in death. Mamie had seven sisters and seven brothers who are all deceased.
Other survivors include 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Sechrest Funeral Service, 120 Trindale Road in Archdale. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Sechrest Funeral Service.
