Marion was a very giving, selfless person who was always willing to lend a helping hand in whatever way possible. Many family and friends benefitted from her generosity for as long as she was able to give. On August 4, 1997, she sustained head injuries from a car accident and her life changed from helping take care of others to being cared for and through it all she persevered with faith and determination.
Marion was a member and willing worker at Trindale Baptist Church for as long as her health allowed. She accepted Christ as her Savior many years ago. Although she was a child of God, like Moses, this did not exempt her from a difficult situation. Just as God gave Moses the strength to endure his difficult situation for forty years until it was time for his deliverance, he gave Marion the strength to endure her difficult situation for 15 years until her time of deliverance which came on the morning of September 27, 2012 when he called her home. Through it all, he blessed her with a wonderful doctor and caregivers who became part of the family.
Special thanks to her doctor, Gordon Arnold, who faithfully took care of her medical needs for the last 15 years; to her caregivers who gave her exceptional care, niece DeAnna Kiser, Gina Berube, Gayle Creel, Michelle Cox, Jean Hall and Carole Oliver; friends, Kat Hankins and Betty Ridge Robertson who visited faithfully throughout the years, hairdresser Joyce Johnson who came to her home, Trindale Baptist Church for helping the family with supplies, and the family and friends who called throughout the years to check on her and let her and the family know they were being thought of and lifted up in prayer.
A funeral Service will be held Monday, October 1 at 2pm at Trindale Baptist Church on Archdale Rd in Trinity with Pastors Tony Moore and Dave Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Cemetery in High Point.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8:00pm at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale and at other times at Marion’s home.
