Mark enjoyed spending time outdoors either fishing or looking for arrowheads or other artifacts he might find on one of his walks. He loved to spend time with family, especially his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed playing volleyball with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Wayne Crain, Timothy Dale Crain, and Brian Keith Crain.
He is survived by his two stepchildren, Skylar Whan (Kady) and Makeala Craven (Ryan); his siblings, Rhonda Smith and Ronnie Crain of Archdale, NC, and Linda Fain of Lexington, NC; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with the location to be determined.
