Jayne was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend who had the biggest heart. Her family and friends meant the world to her. Jayne’s children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren were the light of her life. Her husband, Jamie, was her everything. They spent the last 29 years together, and they could not have been happier.
Jayne worked at Oakdale Cotton Mill in Jamestown. While there, she met the love of her life, Jamie and her best friend, Rachel. They were inseparable ever since. After the Mill shutdown, she worked at Bossong Hosiery Mill Inc. as a knitter before obtaining her position at Harris & Covington Hosiery Mill. There, she started out as a knitter, then was promoted to order expediter. While there, she gained two more great friends, Ester and Kat.
Jayne was the kindest, selfless, and loving person you could have ever met. Anytime you saw her, she had the biggest smile on her face; and her laugh was so contagious. Everyone raved about her cooking. The most loved were her famous potato salad, coconut cake, pumpkin pie, buttermilk pie, and her pinto bean casserole.
Jayne was such a big part of everyone’s life, and even though she will be missed dearly, she will forever be in our hearts.
Jayne is survived by her husband, James “Jamie” Viar, Jr.; children, Johnathan Viar and wife Jessica, Christina Viar and her k9 child Max; two grandchildren Maddison Ritter and Jaxen Viar, her siblings Brenda Parks, Ann Frasier, William Sarvis and wife Carla, Lora Soles and Elayne Landreth. Her parents preceded her in death.
