Phillip Michael Griffin

He was born on May 16, 1949 in High Point, NC, a son of the late Ida Mae (Rook) Griffin and Rufus Victor Griffin. Mike worked in the trucking industry for many years and enjoyed fishing, watching all sports and late night phone calls with his brother. He served in the Army in Asia during the Vietnam War out of High School. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Wayne (Duke) Griffin, who Mike took care of in his final years as he battled cancer, and nephew, Eddie Griffin, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Proctor Griffin of Lexington, brother Victor Edward (Eddie) Griffin of Trinity, two daughters: Michelle Griffin (James Eagle) of Jamestown and Cynthia Kennedy (Danny) of Lexington and son, Brian Griffin of High Point, grandchildren: Peyton Eagle and Griffin Eagle of Jamestown, Shane Stafford of Ohio, Lee Stafford of High Point, Chrissy Kennedy Myers (Josh) of Harmony, Kevin Kennedy of Thomasville and Jaylyn Griffin and niece, Vickie Griffin Butler (Chad) of Trinity as well as great granddaughters Aubri and Alena Stafford and great nieces and nephews, Tori, Noelle, Charlsey and Easton Butler and Hannah, Bryce and Ethan Griffin and Oaklee Fowler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 2-4 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 120 Trindale Rd., Archdale, NC 27263.
