Roger Dale Harris

Mr. Roger Dale Harris, 73, died June 16, 2026. He was born November 23, 1952, in Davidson County, a son to William David and Mary Lou Huffman Harris, who preceded him in death. Mr. Harris was a resident of Archdale, North Carolina.

A hard-working man of steady courage and quiet wisdom, Mr. Harris spent most of his life as a truck driver with East Penn Manufacturing Company. Through years of faithful dedication, he built a life marked by responsibility, perseverance, and a thoughtful care for others that was evident in the way he showed up—day after day—for the people who depended on him.

Mr. Harris was always laughing and so much fun to be around. He never met a stranger, and his kind-hearted spirit made others feel welcome in his presence. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors, whether it was yard work or relaxing by his pool, and he especially loved grilling out for his family on the weekends. He liked sports and was a NASCAR fan, and he loved going to the beach on vacation—as long as he was ocean front.

His grandchildren were his favorite people, and the love he had for them was unmistakable. He took pride in working hard and raising his two kids as a single dad, living with a selfless devotion that shaped his home and family. He also enjoyed reading the Bible daily, a faithful practice that reflected the strength and steadiness of his heart.

Mr. Harris was a great son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Rhonette Joyce; his son, Rodney Harris; his two grandchildren, Destiny Hunt and Aubrey Kiss; his sister, Ginger Bryant; and his brother and best friend, David Harris (Sherri).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Randolph Hospice House.
