Scotty Delane "Tex" Bowlin, Jr., 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 6, 2025, at Hospice Home at High Point. He was born June 2, 1945, the son of the late Scotty D. Bowlin, Sr. and Marie Mann Bowlin.
Scotty was a long-time member of Joy Community Fellowship. He served in the US Navy Reserve as a machine repairman from 1965 to 1971. After an honorable discharge, he received his GED from Alamance Community College. Scotty went on to have a successful career, ending as an accomplished Team Leader with Proctor & Gamble.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Murphy Bowlin; sister, Debbie Bowlin Esque (Mike); sisters-in-law, Sandra Banks (Steve), Kay Lewis (Alex); nephews, Jason Austin, Daniel Austin (Amanda); nieces, Laura Blakes (Elliot), Leslie Long (Chad), April Leroy and Cayce Miller (Brent); and many great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, Scotty was preceded in death by his sisters, Terri Bowlin Welch and Vicki Bowlin Norris.
A visitation for Tex will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Joy Community Fellowship, 2515 Bellemeade Street, High Point, NC 27263, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Cemetery in High Point.
