August 6, 2002 – November 4, 2025
Selena Brooke Brande, 23, passed away on November 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of light, laughter, and love that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on August 6, 2002, Selena was a beautiful, joyful ray of sunshine whose smile could brighten any room and whose kind spirit touched everyone she met.
Selena found joy in her love of teaching at Hopewell Elementary School, nursing at High Point Hospital, and in her newfound passion for bartending at Average Joes. She found peace in the sunshine with her toes in the sand, surrounded by all of her favorite people.
Selena was preceded in death by her grandparents JB and Lois Layton, Bill Bolton, and Don Davis, Bubbie Garrett, Boogie Jennings, and Ray and Phyllis Jennings; her brother Josh Wiles; and many other cherished family members who welcomed her home with open arms.
Left to cherish her loving memory are her devoted parents John Wayne and Sissy Bolton; her beloved husband Jonathan Brande; her brothers Trent (Kayla) and Terry (Haley); her sisters Megan (DJ) and Jacki (Jason); nieces Baylee and Lyndee; nephews Houston, Layton, and Benson; and her grandparents Diane Garrett, Linda Jennings, Jean Davis, and Speedy Jennings. She will also be deeply missed by her many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless special friends — family by both blood and by choice.
Selena’s warmth, compassion, and joyful spirit were unmatched. She had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and valued. Her laughter was contagious, her hugs were healing, and her love for life was inspiring. She found beauty in simple moments — a sunny day, a blooming sunflower, or a ladybug’s gentle visit — and she shared that beauty freely with others.
Though her time with us was far too short, Selena’s light will never fade. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her memory will continue to bring comfort and smiles for generations to come.
A Celebration of Selena's life will be held on Saturday November 8, 2025 at 2p.m. at Fairfield Community Church of High Point, NC. Family will receive friends from 12p.m.-2p.m. Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point, NC.
