Gene was preceded in death by Margie Fleming and his parents; Glen and Lassie Fleming.
He is survived by his wife; Mae Fleming of the home and daughters; Kay Moorefield, Karen and Delray Carden, sons; Gary and Donna Fleming and Larry Fleming and thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale with visitation one hour prior to the service.
The family requests memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
