Willard Eugene Chambers, age 84, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012. He was born on April 12, 1928 in Fort Payne, Alabama to Mr. James William Chambers and Mrs. Lois Katherine Ridgeway. He was of the Holiness faith and when he was well he attended Truth and the Way Mission in High Point with his wife Mary.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Maxine Chambers; brother, Charles “Mickey” Edward Chambers; step sons, Harry Mishoe, Carl Mishoe and Larry Mishoe.
Survivors include his wife Mary Allene Chambers; daughter, Sherry Chambers of Randleman, NC; son, Ray Chambers and his wife Sandra of Sophia, NC; step-daughter, Bonnie Hilton and her husband Richard of Trinity, NC; brothers, Bill Chambers and his wife Betty of Greenville, SC and Jimmy Chambers and his wife Ann of Collinsville, VA; sister, Barbara Culbertson of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Karen Chambers of Thomasville; grandchildren, Zoey Chambers, Haley Chambers, Alston Chambers and Tyler Chambers and pet dog ‘Lil’ Boy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the Chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale. Family will recieve friends immediately following the service.
