A. Elizabeth "Liz" Armstrong

Loving mother of Annette (David) Wegener and Leslie Armstrong-McLeod, cherished grandmother of Sarah (Phil) Schroeder, Anna Wegener, Mary and Peter McLeod, proud great-grandmother of Lila Joy Schroeder. Liz was preceded in death by her late husband, William E. Armstrong.

Professionally, she retired as a Human Resources representative for Littelfuse Inc. in Des Plaines, IL. A life-long volunteer, she was active in her childrens’ elementary school activities as well as their high school band activities where she became president of Rolling Meadows High School Music Boosters twice. She was a nationally recognized and award winning quilter also serving as a board member and parliamentarian for the Northwest Suburban Quilters Guild for decades.

Liz was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights and again became active by constructing most of the church banners and helping with new member instruction. She proudly held the position of Volunteer Coordinator and helped welcome every single member to church on Sunday by hosting the welcome center located in the church narthex.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Avenue in Arlington Heights with reception in the parlor immediately following the service

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Presbytheran Church of Arlington Heights Banner Fund and Heartland Hospice in Buffalo Grove, IL.


