He died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.Mr. Slezak was a software engineer. He was a great friend to many and was always there in good times and sad times. Al never forgot a birthday and always sent well thought out gifts for the kids at Christmas each year. His annual Christmas letter was legendary. He loved to travel, read, watch movies, BBQ and go out with friends, eating good food and drinking good wine. Al had a great smile and a contagious laugh.He is survived by his sisters, Suzanne Slezak, and Nancy (Wayne) Beuchel; his nephew, Kelleigh Lyons; and his extended family and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation from 3:00 pm until time of Remembrance Service at 7:00 pm, Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
