Alexander J. Reitmeyer, Sr. was born on July 16, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Leo and Agnes (nee Cousineau) Reitmeyer. He passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Arlington Heights.Alexander is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley (nee Stomper); his children, Nancy (Bill) Kerr, Julie (Mark) Voss, Alex Reitmeyer, Paul Reitmeyer and Elizabeth (Tom) Warble; his grandchildren, Greg, Holly, Heather, Justin, Michael, Ryan, Alexandra, Jordan and Steven; his great-grandchildren, Kaila, Bryce and Brayden; his brother, Robert (Millie) Reitmeyer; and his sisters, Mary (the late Ed) Leninger and Theresa (the late Lawrence) Domkowski.Visitation from 8:30 am until 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights where prayers will be held at 10:30 am proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 am.
