Aloysius Anton Karmik

Aloysius A. Karmik was born on January 15, 1928 in Chicago to Antoni and Rozalia (nee Olchawa) Karmik. He died Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Wheeling.

Mr. Karmik worked as an Insurance Adjuster for several companies, including Great American Insurance Co. in Schaumburg, for more than 25 years. He was proud of his 4th Degree Knight status as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active, attentive and loving father who never missed a game or school activity and passed on his life-long love of music and commitment to reading and learning to his children and grandchildren.

Aloysius is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joanne (nee Evangelista); children, Rosalie (Jeffery) Johnson, Joseph (Rose Ann) Karmik, and Thom Karmik; grandchildren, Danielle Karmik, Sachiko (Jason) Schevikhoven, and Christina Karmik, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Elizabeth, Irene, Daniel and Helena.

Services and Entombment were private.
