Alva June Jensen

Alva June Jensen was born February 26, 1924 in Chicago to John and Edna Cadwalader." She passed away June 28, 2016 in Chicago with her daughters by her side.Alva June was a long time resident of Edison Park and was involved in many community groups throughout the years." She was a wife, a mom, a friend and a homemaker and also worked in retail for many years." Everyone who knew June loved her!" She had a spunky personality and a sense of humor that just put a smile on your face." She was extremely proud of her family; that is her legacy." God brought home the best mom, the silliest grama and the proudest great grama to sparkle up heaven just a little bit more." We love her "more than tongue can tell".She is survived by her daughters Gayle (David) Holzwarth, Nancy (Walter) Dembkowski and Susan (Scott) Procik; her grandchildren Jeffrey (Lenore) Brown, Jennifer (Andrew) Peebler, Amy (Dane) Suffern, Jason (Sara) Holzwarth, Daniel Dembkowski, Matthew (Caroline) Procik, Lauren (Michael) Bynon, Kendall Procik and Anthony Procik; her great grandchildren Christopher Brown, Maya Suffern, Lily and Ella Holzwarth and Chloe June Peebler and by her dear friend Audiebo Nedry.Alva June is preceded in death by her husband John Jensen; her daughter Mary Lou Jensen and by her parents.Visitation Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 12:30 "PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N.
