Anna Marie Cyr, 99, was born June 21, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois to William and Annie (nee Casey) Fahey. She died on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Anna was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother and great grandmother raising a family in Chicago. She enjoyed working as a 36th Ward Democratic election judge for 30+ years and as an elected member of the Chicago American Legion Women's Auxiliary. A devoted Catholic all of her life, Anna attended Our Lady Help of Christians school in Chicago and Trinity High School in River Forest. She was very involved in her children's Catholic education at St. Giles Catholic School including the Ladies Guild. In her later years, she was actively involved in the Ladies Guild at St. Edna's Church in Arlington Heights.
Anna is survived by her children Bob (Judy) Cyr, Pattie (Scott) Bross, and Eileen (Chuck) Bagarella; her grandchildren, Gina, Jennifer (Mark), Philip (Ashley), Tony (Sandy), Rob, Kelly, Michelle (Kyle), Austin, Ryan, and Kyle; and her great grandchildren Gabby, Rocco, Lilly, Tyler, Vincent, Jimmy, Lincoln, Julian and Lola; loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph Cyr; her son, James Cyr; her sister, Rose Perry; her brother William Fahey, Jr. and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004 and from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am Saturday, June 1, 2024, at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment following at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
