AnnMarie Medema passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Belmont Village Senior Living in Buffalo Grove. She was born July 6, 1927 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Salto) Cerceo. She married Bernard M. Medema on June 25, 1949. He preceded her in death in April 2011, after 61 loving years of marriage.

AnnMarie’s greatest joy in life was her family, cherishing the moments when they were together. She is survived by her children, Don (Jackie) Medema, Dennis (Annette) Medema, Bernadette (Jim) Loiacono; her grandchildren, Tim (Kami) Medema, Chris (Jamie) Medema, Kevin (Laura) Medema, Therese (Mike) Alvarado, Valerie (Adam) Loiacono, and Mary (Adam) Loiacono; her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Giana, Gavin, Mia, Hayden, Tanner, Lilly, and Alex; her sister, Gloria Green; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Medema; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, AnnMarie was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Anthony, Joseph Jr. and Theresa Cerceo; her brother-in-law, Donald R. Medema; and her sister-in-law, June Cerceo.

Funeral service and interment will be held privately. A public memorial mass will be held at later date, when we can once again gather together in celebration of her life.
