Antoinette R Anderson

Antoinette "Toni" Russo Anderson was born on January 1, 1918 at home on Roscoe Street in Chicago to Charles and Maria (nee Badali) Russo, with a midwife attending. She died June 17, 2024 at A Loving Heart Assisted Living in Surprise, Arizona.

Toni and her husband late Jim Anderson were married on November 22, 1941 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Wilmette, IL. After the war, the couple moved to Park Ridge and later to Mount Prospect and Prospect Heights. For over thirty-five years, they attended daily Mass at St. Alphonsus Liguori, Wheeling, where they were active in parish life. An avid homemaker, Toni loved her children, her five siblings, and their families. She and her husband made over forty trips to Europe, the Middle and Far East.

Toni is survived by her children, Susan Anderson (the late Larry Robinson) and Thomas (Janis) Anderson; grandchildren, Sumie (Denise) Abdishi, Stephen Anderson (Lana), and Stacey (Kevin) Klein; great-grandchildren Brittany, Tyler, and Zachary Abdishi; Sophia and Sara Klein.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, her siblings, Marina (the late Jim Annoreno); Mary (the lateVincent Conway); Rosie (the late Frederick Ellsworth); Andrew Russo (the late Eloise); Josephine (the late Herbert Mendel) as well as her parents.

Visitation from 10:00 am until time of Mass 11:00 am, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, IL.
