I am sad to hear the news about Mr. Weidner's passing.

I was in his electronics class everyday for four years and he was one of my gymnastic coaches at Rolling Meadows high school.

He will ever have a place in my heart and the life lessons he taught me.

He was a very special person.
Sincerely,
Randy Swetman

Art was a fabulous gymnast and I remember Art during gymnastics competitions always including the Iron Cross in his routine. I was in awe watching Art preform. God Bless Art and sincere condolences and prayers to the Weidner family.

I went to Arlington High School with Art. He was simply a great guy. I will always remember him doing the "Iron Cross" on the rings. Rest in Peace and Peace to your family.

Mr. Weidner, as I called him in high school, was a great teacher. I was always fond of electronics and was looking forward to being able to take such classes when I got to high school. A friend told me not to waste my time with the basic electronics class and to contact Mr. Weidner and see if I could go into a more advanced class. So me as an eight grader called him and explained what I wanted to do. He sent me the final exam for the basic class. I took it and returned it the next day. He called me and said he had not reviewed my test yet and wanted to know if I needed more time. I told him no. When I registered for high school he had allowed me to take the more advanced class.
