Barbara J. Kilian was born on October 21, 1936, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Paul and Hilda (nee Klaczynski) Fier. She died Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Before retiring Mrs. Kilian was a registered nurse. Over the course of her career, she cared for everyone from children to seniors. At the time of her retirement, Barbara was the director of nursing for Plum Grove Nursing home in Palatine.

She participated in numerous Bible studies and was an active member of the community. Devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Barbara's family includes her husband of nearly 61 years, Stan; she was the devoted mother of Sherry M. (Bentley) Patterson, Lori K. Connelly, Victoria L. Kilian, the late Christopher Michael and Michael Paul Kilian; dear grandmother of Olivia Grace and Zachary Kilian (Felicia White) White, Jacob Frazier (Miranda) White, Ellen Victoria White, Kevin Michael, Michaela Kathleen, Denis Joseph, Elena Mary, Caroline Marina, and Christian John Connelly; loving great grandmother of Amatiel Aurora Fontannaz, and Jax Joseph White.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:15 am, Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.
