Bernadette J. Suchomski was born on March 4, 1926 in Chicago to George and Rose (nee Smorowski) Kania. She died peacefully, of natural causes, Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Sunrise Senior Living in Crystal Lake.
Among numerous positions in the cleaning industry, Mrs. Suchomski worked as an administrative assistant for Blenner-Voss Insurance Agency in Arlington Heights for 15+ years. She was a member of St James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights and the St. James Women's Guild. Bernadette loved to bowl and was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was loved by all.
Bernadette is survived by her children, Robert J. (Debi Weil) Suchomski, Kenneth G. (Lorie) Suchomski, Donald B. (Debbie) Suchomski and Debra A. (Harley) Mensching; grandchildren, Greg (Brooke) Suchomski, Nichole (Jon) Vosburg, Kristen (Fiance Marcelino Rangel) Dvorak, Emilee (Alex) Catalan, Benjamin Suchomski, Savanna Mensching, Logan Mensching, Lance Corporal Reece Mensching, Caramia (Mike) Nelson, Jamie (Rick) Kessler, Jennifer (Fiance Scott Dewald) Mensching, Michael (Jenelle) Kranz, Kristy (Wes) Sizelove and Taya Mencis; great-grandchildren, Christopher Suchomski, Kayla (James) Schloff, Kyle Suchomski, Roenick Vosburg, Bryce Vosburg, Samantha Suchomski, Taylor Suchomski, Jaxson Nelson, Cheyenne Nelson, Ricky Kessler, Charlie Kessler, Ellieanna Kranz and Hayden Kranz; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her parents: siblings Norbert (Helen) Kania and Sr. M. Leonard, C. S. F. N.
Visitation Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 9:45 am, Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home proceeding to St. James Catholic Church (capacity limits, PPE requirement, and social distancing in effect), 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL 60004 for a 10:30 am Funeral Mass. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
