Bernard G. Johnson, 93 of Mt. Prospect was born May 8, 1923 in Chicago to the late John and Marie (nee Carlson) Johnson and passed away July 15, 2016. Bernard was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Kiehl); loving father of Barbara (Roger) Wiencek, Donald Johnson, Judy Silander and the late Sandra Johnson; cherished grandfather of Keith (Jennifer) Wiencek, Brian (Dana) Wiencek, Todd Wiencek, Jessica (Brian) Bax, Jeff Silander and Jennifer Silander; great-grandfather of Emily, Maddie, Natalie, Griffin, Maeve and George and dear brother of the late Herbert (late Dorothy) Johnson. Bernard was an award winning wood-carver and instructor. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 3-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights where funeral service will be held Thursday, July 21 at 11:00 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
