Betty G. Czaplewski

Betty was a laid-back, easygoing person who embraced life with a calm spirit and a go-with-the-flow attitude. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and never needed extravagance to feel fulfilled. Her greatest joy was being a devoted wife and loving mother, roles she cherished above all else. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in caring for and spending time with those she loved. She enjoyed traveling to Alabama, dining out at her favorite restaurants, taking car rides with her daughter, and spending time chatting about old and current times. Her warm heart, gentle nature, and genuine love for others touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be cherished always.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Patrick Czaplewski; her devoted daughter, Katherine Olivo; son-in-law, Pierre Olivo; grandson, Pierre Olivo, Jr.; and her beloved grandpup, Charlie Brown Olivo. She is also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Mildred Vinyard & Cherished sisters, Leslie Williams, Martha Smith, Lillian Bell, Judy Rozkocha & Janet Vinyard.

A funeral mass will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 7th 2026 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 1921 N. Kedvale Ave, Chicago, IL 60639.
