Brian was born on February 13, 1956 at Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park, IL, the sixth of eleven children. The family home at that time was in Chicago. They soon moved to Arlington Heights where Brian lived for the rest of his life.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Robert (06-May-1925 to 27-Jan-2013) and Mary (nee LaVaque) (09-Oct-1926 to 13-Sep-2009) Hitzeman.
He is survived by his siblings, Mary Eileen (Robert) DePinto, Kevin (Mary Dempsey) Hitzeman, William (Nancy) Hitzeman, Joan (the late David) Van Artsdalen, Cathleen Guiney, Patricia (the late Mark) Anderson, Maureen (Scott) Miller, Gregory Hitzeman, Richard Hitzeman and Colleen (Paul) Mallon; his 24 nieces and nephews; and 23 grand nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his second family at the Anne Sullivan Elementary School where he was a dedicated and cherished employee for 38 years in Prospect Heights School District 23.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 9 a.m. followed by mass at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
Interment at Memory Gardens, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights.
