Brian’s life was marked by a spirited enjoyment of the things that bring people together—competition, conversation, and camaraderie. A devoted sports fan, he carried an early love of the game into his youth, staying active in football, soccer, and baseball. Music also held an important place in his life, and during some of his college years he brought that passion to others as a DJ.
Those who spent time with Brian knew he could turn an ordinary moment into one worth remembering. Whether gathered around a card table, sharing stories and laughter, or enjoying something fresh off the grill—where he took particular pride as a true grill master.
He was highly knowledgeable with technology, with a talent for using it and creating with it, yet at his core he was a salesman at heart. And while he carried himself with purpose, Brian also had a playful side that never strayed far; a natural prankster, he was often the source of a well-timed laugh and a lighter day.
Brian is survived by his mother, Donna Piepenbrink; his aunts and uncles, Linda Scheurman, Allen (Shirley) Piepenbrink, Bruce (Tina) Piepenbrink, JoAnne Nagy, Barbara (nee Nagy) McKenzie, and Robert Nagy; and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mark Piepenbrink.
In Brian’s honor, his family asks that you pray for the Chicago Bears.
