He is preceded in death by his wife, Launa "Lee" Bowling; his parents, George and Mamie Bowling; his son, Barry Bowling; his brothers, William and George Bowling; and his sister, Irene Roach. He is survived by his daughter, Diana Cooper, and his two grandchildren, Jenna (Manuel) Castro and Ken Cooper.
Carl was born in Princeton, WV. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed as an aviation electronics mechanic for United Airlines at O'Hare Airport and retired after 29 years. Carl enjoyed being a handyman, gardening, and playing golf. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and was dearly loved by his family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19th in West Virginia.
