Named after Hurricane Carla - she was a force to be reckoned with. She graduated from Buffalo Grove High School where she soon met the love of her life Rick, and began her career at Jewel-Osco, where she spent over 30 years. However, the role she cherished the most was that of Mom and Nana.
Carla is survived by her spouse of 43 years, Rick; her children Ricky (Theresa) Lahrman, Vicki (Travis) Hunter; her beloved granddaughters, Leah Jean, Lauren Jo and Lyla Jay; her mother Joanne; her sisters Tina (Bill) Feld, DJ (Matt) Klister; her mother-in-law Joan Lahrman, and her many nieces and nephews.
She was welcomed into heaven by her father Sam, her beloved brother Dom, her father-in-law Frank Lahrman, and her best friend Debbie Hecht.
Visitation Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 4:00 - 8:00 at Glueckert Funeral, Home, 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Mass will be Friday, September 18, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Graveside Committal will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
