Carol Sanders was born on October 17, 1939 in Chicago to Carl and Christine (nee Havlicek) Janes. She died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Sanders worked as a photographer for Del Mar in Arlington Heights. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4583 Ladies Auxiliary. Carol was an avid gardener and loved to read. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was loved by all.

Carol is survived by her children, Diane Sanders Murphy and Doug (Judy) Sanders; grandchildren, Quinn and Griffin Murphy, Jake and Jenna Sanders; brother, Richard (Judy) Janes; and cousin, Patricia Risinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and her parents.

Visitation Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 8:45 am Monday, November 12, 2018 proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 South Mitchell Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass. Interment will be at Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery.
