Catherine H. Lamb was born on March 24, 1939, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ernest and Myrtle (nee Aarstead) Hedean. She died Thursday, December 24, 2020, due to complications from the COVID-19 virus at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence, in Elk Grove Village.

Ms. Lamb started her career as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and later was a deli clerk for Dominicks. She was a supporter of several cat rescue organizations. She will be remembered by family and friends as a woman who always persevered through life.

Catherine is survived by her children, Eric (Sandy) Lamb, Amy (Bill) Gowans, Tracy (Jim) Smeege, and Sarah Lamb; her grandchildren Amanda, Bill, Corissa, Thomas, Emily, Daniel, Joseph, Spencer and Maxwell; and her great-grandchildren Arihanna and Jameson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1979; her parents; and her sister, Carole Hedean Burrington in 2008. Funeral Service and interment are private. Catherine found her faith in Jesus while participating in various ministries at Willow Creek Community Church.
