Charla K. DonohoOf Arlington HeightsCharla K. Donoho was born on July 28, 1941 in Chicago to William and Margit (nee Jensen) Walters. She died Thursday, March 30, 2017 in Arlington Heights.Charla worked as an elementary teacher for School District #25 in Arlington Heights. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, where she volunteered for various activities including helping with the Funeral Luncheon Ministry. She belonged to Bridge Groups, Book Club, and a member of the Arlington Heights Historical Museum. Charla was an entrepreneur creating and designing gift departments in such Arlington Heights Stores as; The Unicorn, Bowen Ace Hardware, The Pineapple Shop and Harris Gift Shop. The stores that she worked for, entrusted her knowledge and wisdom to order and display inventory for their gift departments. Charla was our angel that loved, helped, nursed, counseled and made all of our lives easier, to her we are eternally grateful.Charla is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Doug; children, Todd (Colleen) Donoho, Kurt Donoho and Nina (Terry) Gill; grandchildren, Jake Donoho, Zachary Gill, Trent Gill, Katie Donoho and Kylie Gill; sister-in-law, Linda Walters, special nieces, Priscilla Walters and Jessica Walters; special great-niece and nephew Alana and Joseph.She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William R. Walters.Visitation Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation 10:00 am Friday, April 7, 2017 until the 11:00 am Funeral Service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
