Charles Richard Jensen

Of Troy, MI

Charles Richard Jensen was born February 25, 1939 in Denver, CO to James H. and Henrietta (nee Fuchtman) Jensen. He died April 7, 2021 at Church Creek in Arlington Heights.

Chuck served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He was a Mechanical Engineer for General Motors in Detroit for over 30 years. He was an avid sailor and boat maker. He also enjoyed hunting and was an award winning skeet shooter. In his later years, Chuck enjoyed managing his family farm in West Point, Nebraska. His greatest enjoyment was attending his grandchildren’s activities and spending time with his family.

Chuck is survived by his wife Amelia “Amy” (nee Siminis) Jensen; his children Jennifer, Elizabeth (Martin) Bauer and Charles Jr. (Dawn) Jensen; his grandchildren Brandon, Emily, Charles III, Alexander, Timothy and Michael; his great grandchildren Marley and Zaylee; his siblings James (late Karla) Jensen, Karen (John) Ausec and Christian (Debora) Jensen.

He is preceded in death by brother Soren Jensen and by his parents.

Visitation Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 4-7 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Monday, April 12, 2021 at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave, Arlington Heights, IL from 10:30 AM until the time of Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
