Charles Dennis Marion was born on September 14, 1937 in Patterson, New Jersey to Martin and Adele (nee Healey) Marion. He died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home.
Before retiring as a manager, Mr. Marion worked for over 60 years in the telecommunications industry. He was a passionate woodworker who crafted everything from fine furniture custom jewelry boxes and frames. He also enjoyed theater productions, and traveling to Canada, the National Parks, and Europe.
Charles is survived by his wife Joanne Carol Marion (nee Azara); his children Charles (Sherri) Marion, Terry Marion, Nanci (Michael) Smith, Ronald (Karen) Lukasik; his grandchildren Michael (Courtney) Szydelko, Brian (Breanna) Szydelko, Angelica (Joshua) Phillips, Ashley (David) Smith-Kitzer, Tara (Josh) Dingess, Nicholas Smith, Alivia Smith, Luke Smith, Meredith Rundle, William (Jessica) Rundle, Taylor Lukasik, Jacob Lukasik, and Rylee Hollensbee; his nine great grandchildren; and his son-in-law Jim Rundle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Laura Rundle; his granddaughter Kacie Lukasik; and his brother Donald (Pat).
Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois and 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Friday, November 2, 2018 at St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Interment private.
