Charles David Mastorgio was born on December 20, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Lorraine (nee Crescio) Mastorgio. He died Friday, January 24, 2020.
Mr. Mastorgio had a long career as a plumber, serving as a member of the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union Local #130 for over 40 years. He was highly respected by his fellow tradesmen as the right man to handle the most intricate and complicated challenges they faced on the job. Chuck was also a self-taught musician who spent many hours at the piano bench on his own and with other family members. He passed this passion and talent on to his son and grandson. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and yard work. Chuck was also an expert mechanic who worked often on cars for friends and family. He will be remembered as a humble, dedicated family man who truly valued spending time with those he loved.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Anna Marie (nee Basile); his daughters, Gina (Frank) Catizone, and Carla (John) Aiello; his daughter-in-law Dolores Mastorgio; his grandchildren, Ashley and James Catizone, Anna Mastorgio, Jack and Joey Aiello.
He was preceded in death by his son, Frank Mastorgio, and his parents.
Visitation from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a Memorial Service at 6:30 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois
